Bird Flu in Jiangsu was covered up
(Jan. 11, 2006)According to Boxun's reporter Lu Shishen, a serious bird flu incident has been covered up in Rudong, Nantong, Jiangsu Province. It is 100 KM from Shanghai.
The bird flu exploded in December 2005, thousands of chicken were eliminated. The bird flu was found after people were infected. We do not know how many people infected or died. (boxun.com)
The local government covered the incident up because it was concerened with local economy. According to farmers, they only got partial compensation for the chicken as th incident was not reported to central government.
