Sex Discrimination by Beijing University
(Aug. 29, 2005)Beijing University uses different admission grades for female candidate, according to a Chinese newspaper.
The grades for male and female are:
Arts : Male 590, Female 598 (boxun.com)
Science: Male 619, Female 636
Some female students have complained it as discrimination.
In China, this is not a single case. Many universities reject students with disabilities who have reach the admission grade level. Some are rejected because of short body.
