China May Have the Largest Number of Christian and Catholics
(Aug. 01, 2005)According to an anonymous analysis received by Boxun today, China has a much larger number of Christian and Catholics. It says there are about 230 million in total, mostly in underground.
The underground Christians and Catholics are organized loosely under " Constitutional Christian Union" . It first appeared in China in 1930s, and re-started in 1976. It says there are 22 major leaders and 325 regions, more than 20 million family churches.
The analysis says the Union relies on all modern communication tools to expand, such as telephone and Internet. The gathering can be in church, home and farming lands, day or night. It says many communist members are Christians. (boxun.com)
