WHO did not receive samples of Qinghai dead birds
(July 27, 2005, BJ Time) According to a report of a Hong Kong newspaper, WHO spokeman in Beijing said they have not received samples of dead birds from Qinghai, thus WHO cannot study whether the virus in Qinghai is a new type or not. VOA reported today (July 26, US time) that Ministry of Agriculture has ordered a labaratory in Hone Kong to stop research on bird flu. The scientist - Guan Zhi, who is from this labaratory and has published an article on Nature, claims that the virus may come from southern China. He has been threatened to be charged with "releasing State Secret". There are articles in Boxun mentioned pictures of Qinghai bird flu, we did not receive any so far.
