Over 10,000 cats are eaten a day
(Dec. 03, 2002) In Guangzhou, cats are considered to be good for health while eating cats are not popular in north China.
Tianjin Youth Daily reported that over 10,000 cts are eaten everyday in winter. Tianjin city alone supplies Guangzhou 20,000 cats a month. The reporters visited the slaughter house in Tianjin, they found the terrible facts.
Traditionally, it is a taboo to eat cats in north China, but now the habit is going up from south. The report visited a restaurant that put Cat in menu. (博讯boxun.com)
